Now that the Google Pixel and iPhone 16 releases are out of the way, it’s time to turn our attention to the next big smartphone release, the Samsung Galaxy S25. Expected to be announced and released in early 2025, we are here to break down some of the rumours of the next phone and follow the journey of the next Galaxy device.

Please remember that there is currently no official confirmation of a new upcoming Samsung S25, so everything in this blog is based on rumours and opinions over the internet. So let’s look at the Samsung Galaxy S25 and see what’s in store!

September 2024 Galaxy S25 Updates:

• Rendered images of the Galaxy S25 released.
• Images showed rounded corners, flat sides and smaller bezels.
• Camera lens' also seem thicker.
• S25 looks similar to the iPhone design.
• More leaked images of S25.
• Frame of phones will be lighter with a refined design.
• S25 will be 'iPhone-inspired'.
• Some Samsung supports feel like this is unoriginal and that the company are just following tech trends. 
• Focus on the changes of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
• Ultra will also get rounded edges and smaller bezels making it more comfortable to hold.
• Ultra and Pro model names of the phones could be changing.
• Galaxy Ultra could change to Galaxy Note.
• Galaxy Plus could change to Galaxy Pro.
• Samsung fans said the Pro model sounds similar to the Apple products. 

7th October 2024:

• Internal changes of the S25.
• Will offer up to 16GB RAM improving the phones battery life.
• Increase of RAM could mean AI improvments and boost to efficiency and performance. 

10th October 2024:

It was confirmed that Samsung will be incorporating One UI 7 in their next Galaxy phone model. One UI 7 is the company’s vision for Android 15, which means we will potentially get plenty of new design changes and added features. Focussing on the S25 Ultra this week, it appears that it will be different to the S24 model thanks to that UI 7 upgrade from One UI 6.

It is believed the phones display will offer device control options alongside a button to SmartView. Display and volume settings may be able to adjust, and it seems the control panel has been shifted around. Whilst we have no official confirmations, one thing we do know is that Samsung are planning to completely explore a new design aspect for the phone using One UI 7. We may see more customisation tricks, new icons and more!

15th October 2024:

When the iPhone 16 Pro was released last month, a big deal was made over the devices increased screen size. And many Samsung fans were expecting Samsung to do the same with their next model, and it appears like this assumption was true. A leaker in Korea has stated that the S25 will have a larger display, moving away from 6.2" to 6.3" on their classic phone. Although a minute enlargement, it still points the conspiracy into the direction that Samsung are slowly trying to copy Apples design techniques when creating their upcoming model. 

17th October 2024:

A concept image of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has released onto social media. Found on Twitter/X, the image shows the new phone with a quad-camera system at the back. The rings seem to be similar to the Fold 6 and the size of the rings still sees to be quite large like we stated in this blog previously. The phones colour in the concept is a beige colour, however there is still no confirmation of what colours the S25 models will be. So we are assuming the beige isnt an official S25 colour option. The concept image has came from an account called ‘Technizo Concept’ on Twitter/X.
