Now that the Google Pixel and iPhone 16 releases are out of the way, it’s time to turn our attention to the next big smartphone release, the Samsung Galaxy S25. Expected to be announced and released in early 2025, we are here to break down some of the rumours of the next phone and follow the journey of the next Galaxy device.

Please remember that there is currently no official confirmation of a new upcoming Samsung S25, so everything in this blog is based on rumours and opinions over the internet. So let’s look at the Samsung Galaxy S25 and see what’s in store!

September 2024 Galaxy S25 Updates:

• Rendered images of the Galaxy S25 released.
• Images showed rounded corners, flat sides and smaller bezels.
• Camera lens' also seem thicker.
• S25 looks similar to the iPhone design.
• More leaked images of S25.
• Frame of phones will be lighter with a refined design.
• S25 will be 'iPhone-inspired'.
• Some Samsung supports feel like this is unoriginal and that the company are just following tech trends. 
• Focus on the changes of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
• Ultra will also get rounded edges and smaller bezels making it more comfortable to hold.
• Ultra and Pro model names of the phones could be changing.
• Galaxy Ultra could change to Galaxy Note.
• Galaxy Plus could change to Galaxy Pro.
• Samsung fans said the Pro model sounds similar to the Apple products. 

October 2024 Galaxy Updates:

• Will offer up to 16GB RAM improving the phones battery life.
• Samsung incorporating One UI 7 into their next Galaxy model.
• S25 Ultra will be different from the S24 Ultra model due to the upgrade from One UI 6. 
• Phones display will have device control options and a button to SmartView.
• Control panel has also been shifted around.
• A new design is being looked into for this model due to One UI 7.
• Could be seeing more customisable options. 
• Leaker in Korea stated the S25 will go from a 6.2" screen to 6.3".
• Concept image of the S25 Ultra was released by an account called 'Techzino Concept' on Twitter/X'
• Image had a quad-camera system in the back.
• Rings are similar to the Fold 6 and the size of the rings is still quite large.
• Cameras will all be different and may not follow the traditional look of previous models. 
• Qualcomm’s annual Snapdragon Summit event ran from October 21st - 23rd, where the president of the Mobile Experience Business at Samsung attended.
• AI will heavily be involved on the S25, meaning costs have gone towards this more than any other feature.
• Rumours the display won't be as advanced, possible AMOLED M13 screen.
• Galaxy S25 FE could offer an Exynos Chip and could arrive sooner than expected. 

November 2024 Galaxy Updates:

• Design rumours surrounding the S25 Ultra that it has adopted iPhone designs.
• Samsung are likely to release a titanium S25 model with a flat side and no curves. Titanium material being very similar to Apple's iPhone 15 Pro models. 
• Two X users Jukanlosereve and OnLeaks have leaked the design images of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
• Images show 2 mobiles that look very similar which makes people belive it's theS25 and S25 Ultra. 
• Talk of the price for the S25 models, looking at around 'at least $100 more' than the usual S24 Ultra price.
• Leaked video from a reliable leaker, Reddit user IceUniverse revealed a video of what appears to be the S25 phone.
• Samsung device had rounded edges, glossy finish and metallic edges. Phone in the video is a metallic silver/grey colour. 
• Phone looks similar to iPhone after rumours Samsung were transitioning their phones to look like the iPhone. 

December 2024 Galaxy Updates:

• Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chipset for the S25.
• Chipset will be 20% more powerful than the previous one.
• Possible increase on price tag for phone due to improved chipset.
• Snapdragon 8 Elite could be seen in the S26 model too.
• S25 Ultra camera listings have been revealed.
• 200MP main camera, 50MP telephoto lens, 50MP ultrawide lens.
• 5x optical zoom, 4080x3060px, 23.2mm focal length.
