We love the Galaxy A40. Seriously. At 144.4 x 69.2 x 7.9 mm, it’s on the smaller side, weighing just 140g, about a third less than its bigger siblings (including the 200g Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus 5G). You get so much in such a compact package, yet it still has nearly a 6” screen. How Samsung managed to deliver that is a mystery.
Display
That screen measures 5.9” diagonal. It’s an Infinity-U display with a U-shaped notch cut out for the front-facing camera. Taking up over 85% of the phone’s front face, the Super AMOLED Gorilla Glass 3 screen has a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels for true full HD video playback. Again, seriously impressive for the size!
Camera
A trio of lenses front and back again make the A40 a perfect pick. On the front, the 25MP camera is capable of much more than just selfies, so you might find it becomes your first choice for all kinds of snaps.
